The River
(Victoria Shaw/Garth Brooks)
You know
a dream is like a river, Ever changin' as it flows, and
a dreamer's just a vessel, That must follow where it goes.
Trying to learn from what's
behind you, and never knowing what's in store, Makes each day
a constant battle, Just to stay between the shores...and I will
sail my vessel, 'Til the river runs dry, Like a bird upon the
wind, These waters are my sky I'll never reach my destination,
If I never try, so I will sail my vessel, 'Til the river runs
dry, Too many times we stand aside and let the waters slip away,
'Til what we put off 'til tomorrow has now become today, so
don't you sit upon the shoreline and say you're satisfied, Choose
to chance the rapids, and dare to dance the tide...yes and I
will sail my vessel, 'Til the river runs dry, Like a bird upon
the wind, These waters are my sky I'll never reach my destination,
If I never try, so I will sail my vessel, 'Til the river runs
dry , and there's bound to be rough waters, and I know I'll
have some falls, but with the good Lord as my captain, I can
make it through them all...yes, Yes, I will sail my vessel,
'Til the river runs dry, 'Til the river

Life must have time
for something other than work. Leisure time for many is a time
to share thoughts.
Sitting fishing with a child can bring the unexpected simplicity
of lifes wisdom to an adult. Sharing that time with an adult a
child learns to appreciate the wisdom of age.

My friend
Rose only fishes and releases, she never keeps the fish she has
caught. Her enjoyment comes from the fishing alone, the time spent
on the water, the time thinking.
Her ability to "land" the fish and use her equipment
is her time of restoration.
After a time in grief, it is good to "release" some
of the lessons you have learned.
To use the experience to share with others, aiding them in the
feelings. This sharing of wisdom helps make it possible to restore
your own spirit. The time will come when your need to share will
lesson, as you find new experiences open to you. This does not
mean you will forget the experiences of the past, or never need
to share them again, but your time building a new experience will
help give hope to others, that their time of restoration will
come.
