A harvest of grapes brings
wonderful new foods to enjoy. The vine remains to produce a harvest
again in it's season.

Muscadines grow wild in the woods of Arkansas. The blackish Wine grape skins are very tough and grow on thriving vines that climb to tree tops for sunlight. Scientists have found significant amounts of Resveratrol in the skin, pulp, and seeds of Muscadines. Resveratrol is the compound found in French wines said to reduce cholesterol and the risk of coronary heart disease. The Muscadine fruit is used for jellies, jams and wines. Muscadines nourish many animals in the wild and are hard to find during their only harvest season in late September.
